This trip exceeded all of my expectations. Where do I begin? First and foremost thank you Suzie & Terry for organizing a spectacular adventure. You choose extraordinary locations and the experiences are once in a lifetime. I met some amazing people and I have made life long relationships from this trip. We were able to see Polar Bears, Foxes, Walrus's, Whales, Seals, Dolphins and a plethora of birds for the "birdies" to enjoy. While traveling northward on the ship Hondius we were at one point the northernmost ship on the planet at 80.39 degrees, at which point the ship docked on ice and we were able to walk on the Polar Ice in the Arctic Circle. I joined the kayak group and kayaked the Arctic Circle meandering between icebergs and many glaciers twice a day for six consecutive days. Truly, words cannot describe the up close encounters with nature in the Arctic Circle. The crew from Oceanside Expeditions were second to none. The accommodations and food, as expected, was top notch. I can't wait for my next trip with AFS!

I had a great wonderful time, celebrating a trip of a lifetime. The captain and crew could have not been any more attentive or willing to do what it took for us to see a polar bear and other wildlife. I could go on and on but I think this covers my feelings.

This trip exceeded my expectations. It was thrilling to be so far north, to see the variety of animals we did - especially the polar bear up close. I am so glad I opted to kayak even though it was out of my comfort zone; it was thrilling to be so close to the icebergs. The food was delicious and the staff of Oceanwide went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I felt taken care of on the kayaks and everywhere else. The 'GTL' of AFS however did not. There was zero added value booking through AFS versus Oceanwide directly. Aside from a hurried intro at the first night hotel, she never spoke to my friend and I again. I don't believe she learned everyone's names and she made zero effort to spend time with anyone besides her Atlanta clique. The pictures posted were of the same people over and over. It was a sharp contrast to my two trips with Margo who made up games, was constantly checking in.

Thank you so much, Eileen, for sharing your experience with us. It's wonderful to hear that the trip itself was a highlight for you—from the sea kayaking, polar bears, and cuisine to the Oceanwide staff. I want to sincerely apologize for your experience with our trip leader, who didn't meet the expectations you had from your positive memories of a past AFS trip. Feeling welcomed and included should be a given, and it's clear from your feedback that this was missing for you and your friend on this Norway journey. We will review your feedback with all our GTLs this week and focus together on how we can ensure that each AFS guest feels seen, welcomed, included, and valued throughout the entire trip, not just at the beginning. I appreciate your honesty. Notes like this prompt us to improve. We deeply value a sense of community and connection within each group, something we've fostered over 30 years. I hope you'll give us another chance to deliver the kind of group service that brought you to us in the first place. Feel free to phone me anytime. —Suzy

We had a truly wonderful experience on the Hondius ship, it was a fabulous ship and the crew were exceptional as they were always so enthusiastic about everything they did and shared with us. Their joy was contagious and made for an amazing adventure. The excursions were great and it was easy to choose ones own preferences. The food was excellent with enough choices for all. I so enjoyed this amazing adventure with wonderful friends with AFS
