About this trip

La Dolce Vita in : Rome, Orvieto, Assisi, Naples, Pompeii, Positano, Amalfi, Capri

Prepare to fall in love with Italy-one ancient ruin, seaside village and unforgettable bite at a time. Our journey carries us from the lively streets of Rome to the sun-washed Amalfi Coast, blending Italy’s greatest treasures with delicious experiences that make traveling a joy. We will explore iconic landmarks, wander medieval towns, and discover why Italians have turned eating into an art form.

Our adventure begins in Rome, where every corner reveals another layer of history. Stand inside the mighty Colosseum, walk in the footsteps of emperors in the Roman Forum and see the Mamertine prison of Peter and Paul. Join our Skip- the-Line tour through Vatican City with artistic treasures, the Sistine Chapel and venture beneath into its mysterious catacombs. Then learn the workshop secrets behind authentic Italian gelato.

You’ll love the medieval hill towns of Orvieto and Assisi in Umbria with grand cathedrals, quiet medieval streets, regional wines, and a traditional Italian lunch. We then head south to vibrant Naples, a city with plenty of personality and a serious appetite. Here we sample favorite street foods and make Neapolitan pizzas in the very city that gave it to the world. Visit the new archaeological museum with the original ruins from Pompeii.

The story continues with a guided tour of Pompeii in the shadow of Mount Vesuvius. From there, Italy trades ancient stones for sparkling blue waters as we follow the coast through Positano and Sorrento to Amalfi.  Colorful villages spill down steep hillsides, cathedral bells echo through old town squares and sweeping Mediterranean views appear around every bend for a photographer’s dream.   Then there is scenic Capri. We reached this legendary island by boat to enjoy a Limoncello workshop inspired by the region’s fragrant lemons.

You may have been here before, but here are some highlights you may have missed, and Italy always calls us back. History, food, faith, laughter, and one gorgeous coastline - this is Italy at its best! Come join us and experience “la Dolce Vita” for yourself!

(Our new tour is presented in place of our Israel trip for our group several years ago. Come experience Italy through a unique blend of faith, history and culture. Visit remarkable Christian sites connected to St. Francis, Peter, Paul, and other apostles, while enjoying Italy’s iconic sites, charming towns, and memorable experiences everyone will love.)
